About Us—Overview
Global Strategies for HIV Prevention is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization responding to the urgent need for a non-governmental, non-politically aligned, independent organization to facilitate international strategies and collaborations to control the spread of HIV in resource poor countries.
As many as 1,600 infants are born each day with an
ultimately fatal HIV infection.
Appropriately administered antiretroviral drugs can reduce HIV transmission by over 90%.

Mission
Our mission is to implement international strategies to prevent HIV infection and care for those affected by HIV by means of strategic alliances with those who share in a compassion for alleviating the suffering of women and children. Our programs include Save a Life, Hope Walks, HIV/AIDS Education and Training, and innovative projects that are responsive to the needs of our partners.
Philosophy
We focus on establishing model programs and providing education and training in HIV prevention and care for underserved, faith-based, community and non-governmental programs that are often overlooked by or have difficulty accessing funds from large international organizations. We work collaboratively with health care and community leaders to ensure critical and relevant HIV prevention and care. Over $5.1 million has been provided over the past decade to support our programs.
